Rise Above the Status Quo

Have you ever wondered what your college degree is worth? Sometimes it's not even worth what you paid in tuition during your four years of study? Do you know someone that graduated with a college degree and they ended up working for a company that did not even require a college degree nor did it pay the amount of money they expected to receive based on having a college education.

How can this happen? Well it can happen if you don't adequately prepare to face the corporate world. Sometimes we can be lulled into a fall sense of security. The thinking here is that a college degree is a panacea. If you think a college degree is a guarantee of success then you are sadly mistaken. I know the excitement of graduating can overwhelm us and make us think we are on the road to success.

But one needs to stop and consider some important points. During your journey to success you have to continue to grow and learn new things otherwise it will not be long before the competition passes you by. You have to take advantage of the opportunities that set you apart and get you noticed.

Opportunities such as going to seminars, reading motivational books, taking continuing education classes, and getting a mentor. These are activities that will catapult your career in the direction of success faster than you can imagine.

It's a very competitive world out there. So do the things that give you a competitive edge.

To your great success!!
